Privacy Policy
Follicle Control is built around data minimization. Your routine, progress photos and wellbeing observations support features on your devices—not advertising or cross-app tracking.
1. Who is responsible
Follicle Control is provided by independent developer Demis Mezirov (“we”, “us”). Privacy questions can be sent to yomanx@gmail.com.
2. Information handled by the app
- Course configuration, medicines, supplements, procedures, schedules, completion times and optional notes.
- Progress photos and capture metadata such as date, zone and photo-quality checks.
- Optional observations about shedding, scalp condition, symptoms, tolerability and laboratory entries.
- App settings, reminder preferences and subscription entitlement status.
3. Why the information is used
The app uses this information to display your timeline, schedule local reminders, compare photo checkpoints, calculate on-device summaries, create reports at your request, preserve preferences and verify access to purchased features. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or data brokerage.
4. Storage and iCloud
Progress-photo files are stored in the app’s protected local Application Support directory. Structured records are stored on device and may synchronize through Apple iCloud/CloudKit in the private database belonging to your Apple Account when iCloud is available. We do not operate a health-data backend and do not receive a copy of your private CloudKit records. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
5. Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. The app receives verified product, transaction and entitlement status needed to provide access. We do not receive your payment-card details.
6. Permissions
Camera and photo-library access are used only when you choose to capture or select a progress photo. Notification access is used for reminders you configure. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings. The app does not request access to HealthKit, contacts, location, microphone or advertising identifiers.
7. Analytics, advertising and tracking
The current release contains no third-party advertising SDK, cross-app tracking technology or third-party behavioural analytics. We do not sell personal information.
8. Sharing and export
Nothing is shared with a clinician automatically. A PDF or other export leaves the app only when you deliberately use the iOS share sheet or save it elsewhere. The privacy and security of an exported copy then depend on the destination you choose.
9. Retention, deletion and your choices
Records remain until you delete them. In-app controls are available under Profile → Privacy & Data. Because no developer account is created, there is no separate server account to close. Private iCloud copies may also be managed through your Apple Account and iCloud settings. See the data deletion guide.
10. Medical information and emergencies
Follicle Control is not a medical provider and does not use your entries to diagnose or prescribe. Do not use the app for emergency communication. Contact emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional for urgent, severe or worsening symptoms.
11. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. If applicable law requires a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian should supervise use.
12. Security and changes
We use iOS platform protections and data minimization, but no storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy when functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
13. Contact
Email yomanx@gmail.com. Please do not send progress photos, medical records or other sensitive health information by email.
